Here are some steps to practice to make a happier YOU!

1. Use positive words: eliminate words like “can’t” or “don’t” or “should”. The second one of these words crosses your mind immediately edit it in your brain with I can, I do, I will . When you think “should” ask yourself why? Because it’s good for you or because someone expects it?

2. Smile: fake it till you make it if you have to. Smiling, even when you don’t feel like, still makes you feel better. Plus if you’re smiling other people will smile back and that will make you feel better too!

3. Gratitude: write your blessings out on paper. We all have a LOT of little things to be thankful for. Write them down and concentrate on the good things in your life.

4. Feed your mind with happy songs, videos and quotes. It rubs off, just like affirmations, the more positive you surround yourself with the more positive you will be!

5. Take a walk outside to clear your mind. Being outside gives you room too to breathe, to think. Walking releases pent up energy, so just walk it off.

6. Surround yourself with positive people. Positive perspectives look for solutions or compromises. Build a network of people that can help you work through the challenges you face.
